Foundation Footy — Terms of service

Fisher's Ghost Studios (ABN 41 742 457 899) · Last updated 21 September 2026

These terms apply to Foundation Footy on every platform. By playing you accept them; by continuing to play after a change you accept the changed terms.

1. Licence

You have a personal, non-exclusive licence to play Foundation Footy on devices you own. You may not sell, rent or redistribute it, extract its assets for other uses, or interfere with online play.

2. Platforms

Where you obtain or play the game through a store or network — Steam, the App Store, Google Play, Nintendo, Xbox, Discord or another — that platform's terms, guidelines and refund policy also apply, and purchases and refunds are handled by the platform. Free browser and desktop versions are provided as is and may be changed or withdrawn at any time.

3. Online play, ratings and leagues

Online matches may be recorded and may count toward a rating and any league you enter. If in-game chat is provided, messages may be logged; you are responsible for what you write, and we may remove it. We may remove ratings, results or players from the online service for cheating, exploiting bugs, or harassing or abusing others. The online service may be changed or discontinued at any time.

4. Not affiliated with the NRL

Foundation Footy is an unofficial, fan-made game set in the 1908–1947 era of rugby league. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to the National Rugby League, the Rugby Football League, or any club, league, competition or player. Historic club, competition and place names are used for their historical meaning. Colours and crests in the game are our own work. Trade marks belong to their owners.

5. Intellectual property

Foundation Footy, its code, art, sound and text, and the Foundation Footy and Fisher's Ghost Studios names and marks belong to Fisher's Ghost Studios. Open-source components are used under their own licences, listed in the game's Acknowledgements. You may share, stream and monetise footage of the game.

6. Liability

The game is provided as is. To the extent permitted by law we exclude all warranties and are not liable for loss arising from use of the game beyond the amount you paid. Nothing here excludes guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot be excluded; where they apply, our liability is limited to resupply or refund.

7. Changes

We may change these terms at any time; the date above shows the current version. If any part of these terms cannot be enforced, the rest still applies.

8. Law

These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia.
